Archived versions of Drop pages

more_vert
The one thing that bothers me most about Massdrop's website is the fact that Drop pages are frequently re-used for new rounds. The original page is lost forever and the new round page often differs in many details from the old version.
One of the most obvious cases is the Granite drop. Thankfully matt3o has finally put up an archive of Granite drops but for me it was very confusing buying older round Granite kits while looking at the current round kits on the new Drop page. Same thing applies to the current Overwatch CS:GO DSA drop.
It would be a great community service if archived Drop pages from previous rounds are accessible somehow.
Let me know what you think about this.

I would also like to see the price listed after a drop was run. To at least get an idea, maybe the MSRP and the starting price. I usually have to hit the comments to see if someone has mentioned the price.

@Wodan thanks for the feedback. We've discussed this problem in working on drop page and comment redesign and you've highlighted one of the key problems. This is something we'll be looking to solve as we continue to improve our discussion system.

erikbroGreat news! Can't wait to see the changes. Any chance this will be available for past drops as well? Hope the history isn't lost...

Creating new pages for every drop would weaken the search functionality here. I think re-using the drop pages is the right way. Many items here drop over and over again (MX spring or dampening rings) and it makes no sense to make a new page there every time.
So YES, being able to compare new vs. archived version of a drop page is a must :)

I'm surprised actually that they don't create new pages, Some of the community keyboards change over time, new improvements in all. Would be nice to compare what has changed in the product.

Excellent idea, i know some folks take screenies of each drop for later reference. Something i don't do, but there had been a few ocassions, when i wished i had done that, too.
