Wireless Headphones - Best Bang for Buck?

more_vert
I've started looking for a pair of on-ear or over-ear wireless (bluetooth?) headphones as my new daily driver but there's so many options out there and many recommendations for companies I'm not familiar with.
Looking for bluetooth headphones that are on or over ear, decent battery life (is >8hrs a thing?), can be used "wired", comfortable, and offer a well-rounded GOOD sound. I'd be willing to spend $100-$200 unless there's something amazing above the $200 mark that is a "must have".
My regular-use headphones are M50's, Fostex's TH-X00, Beyer DT990's, and Shure 310 IEM's. These wireless headphones would be for on-the-go, travel (plane, train, automobile), and office use. I listen to pretty much every genre of music.

Beyerdynamic is about to release (debatable) the best wireless headphone you can buy, so if you can wait, I'd wait and listen to them, and spend a little extra. Heard them at CES and I'm debating selling everything with a cord at this point. Link below:

I love my Bose Soundsport Wireless Bluetooth earbuds. They're comfortable and last a couple of days on a single charge. I don't blast my music so that may account for the extended battery life

In my opinion, the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless are a very good mix og decent battery time, ANC that does not impede the sound quality of the music (unlike Bose QC do) and overall sound quality. Indoors, bluetooth connection works like a charm. In outdoor open spaces, there may be some stuttering, but that may apply to many cans and brands.

Well when i read battery life I almost didn’t add my $.02, if you can tolerate a lower battery life for walks or just short sessions I really like the Parrot‘s. With an accompanying app for your smart phone that you can set a soundstage to, a battery level monitor, a manual equalizer with many presets, and a decent ANC all make for a really nice over-the-ear pair of cans imo. You can find them around this price range if you shop hard. I frequently see the older generation on sale for around $100 USD.

Can I ask what your use-case is @wiggles?
If you already have headphones you like I would recommend the Creative Sound Blaster E3. I freaking love this little tool for so many different reasons, and this is one of them. I've had mine for over a year now and it's great for turning any headphones into wireless headphones (even ones that are hard to drive). I also love being able to use it during travel so my GF and I can watch / listen to the same movie on the flight easily. :)

MikeMDThanks for the suggestion! The headphones will be used for everything like walking the dog (ala on-the-go), sitting in the office while I'm working, and on planes.
These headphones would likely also replace my M50's. I've had my M50's for 10 years but they're finally starting to fall apart. Honestly, if I could get wireless M50's I would.
