My drop was delivered a few weeks ago, but I didn't have time to install it until today. I plugged in power and SATA, and booted, and confirmed it showed up in the BIOS. When I booted to Windows 10, it wouldn't show up as an additional drive under the Disk Management tool or the Device Manager. I downloaded the Samsung drivers and "magic" utility, and even the firmware upgrade ISO -- nope, nope, and nope.
There was a random tip on a Tom's Hardware post to run the Memory Diagnostic tool under Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Windows Memory Diagnostic. This actually worked. The SSD showed up under Disk Management and I could format it as usual. WTF, Microsoft.
