Motorcycle Community

more_vert
There should be a community for motorcycles. Plenty of common aftermarket parts and equipment, its riding season for many cold weather areas. New gloves, lights, tools, cleaning/maintenance products! If there is a knitting community we can definately support a motorcycle community.
Most owners spend way too much on our bikes, its perfect for massdrop.

Let's have a motorcycle community, but let it cover all bikes from adventure bikes to cruisers to sports bikes to cafe racers. And not just Harleys but Japanese, German, British, and Italian bikes and related accessories, too.

I've been wondering about this, I'd be down for a motorcycle group!

I've been searching for motorcycle related drops exclusively. They are few and far between. Let's get them rolling!

BossmanI know--it's so hard to find HD related bike shit--it's like nobody rides them or something?

Given the prices on a lot of things around here, I'd honestly be surprised if MD could actually undercut anybody given the sources we have already. Don't get me wrong, I love having a good community for this stuff, but I'm reluctant to believe we can really hit prices to make it remotely worthwhile compared to all of the moto dealers out there. I mean, I can fire off a couple dozen places to buy stuff for different bikes already, and a lot of times there's at least something well under MSRP.
But anyway, since there's nothing there despite the post by MD saying there should be one open, I started a new poll for new communities. Go ahead and vote on it if you guys want to show this interest in a more obvious way than a bunch of liked posts.

I didn’t mean you prefer junk parts. I meant I’m cool with 3-4 big cool drops on great stuff as opposed to a bunch of little ones that save a few dollars. I think we agree on the products, I would like to see what massdrop can do to get us a deal. Do we need more headphone and keyboard parts?

But yeah, I see what you’re saying. Thats sort of how the Auto community is here. Not many drops, but what happens is... well, disappointing actually, but decent drops relative to retail for the things we see nonetheless. I mean, I got a waaaaaay nicer torque wrench than the one that dropped here for not a lot more money.
While I doubt we’ll get a moto community, though I don’t see much reason not to, maybe we can get some decent moto stuff showing in the auto community if nothing else.
Biggest issue I see is the diversity of motorcycle stuff. Gear seems easier to move to lots of people. I doubt I use the same oil or spark plugs a lot of you guys use. Tires, bulbs, etc. All sort of personal and hard to push to many people all at once.

Agree.
I'd love this if we could make it happen.
I ride a Honda Transalp 2011 and love the idea of opening a community for us riders

Here in Williamsburg, BK, the majority of bikes I see are Triumphs, followed by BMWs, then a scatering of KTMs, Moto Guzzis, and vintage Japanese rides with modern lighting and those pesky LiPo batteries that are easily hidden, so they remove the old school battery covers and show nothing there. I myself have a Buell, so I don't fit anywhere. It's a crazy community, as most are not that capable of doing electrical work on their own rides with causing some sort of damage. IDK
