Wrist Check

This is a Henri Sandoz from the late 70s or early 80s. Not much is known about the company today, but India has loads of watches from this brand, which also goes by the name Henri Sandoz & Fils or just Sandoz. They are widely available on Ebay, with more than a few being Frankenwatches and it is pretty difficult to verify what's what. Having said that, these are available cheap (under $100) and are pretty simple. Some, like mine can have nice looking dials; many will have coloured dials too (blues, reds, and yellows are common). I got mine from my grandfather a few years ago. Here is what I can tell you: 25 jewel movement, Incabloc Sweep seconds (Non hacking) Automatic movement, but can be wound from the crown Date window And mine runs fast - I gain 3-4 minutes in 2 days, so I don't wear it more than 2 days in a row. The photo doesn't do justice to the dial. I'll try and capture it in natural light if anyone is interested! Let me know what you think!

OOOY!!! Super tasty!!! I want that. Never heard... But, just read your post. Your watch is priceless since you got it from your G-Dad. That my friend can not be quantified : ) Who needs diamonds when you have a watch with the type of value yours has. Cheers : )

Cobalt_7Thanks man! I've just been on eBay, and there are more than a few manual winding Henri Sandoz watches available for not a lot of money - say about $25. None with the kind of dial I have though - that would be between $80 and $120 - IF you find one.
