is ryzen 5 2600x ihs safe to liquid meatal?

is the heatspreader made of aluminum or is it nickel plated or what bottom line is that im not sure if i can liquid meatal it without eating up the heatspreader if its made of aluminum

No problem. The only hiccup you could have is if you're using an aluminum based cooler. Don't even think about using a Cooler Master Hyper cooler. Yeah they have copper heat pipes but they also use aluminum and both will come into contact with your CPU. Frankly I wouldn't use LAMbetween the CPU and cooler. But if you're set to do so then make sure your cooler is copper or nickel plate copper.

No, the heatspreader on Ryzen CPU's is made of Nickel plated copper. It is safe to use Liquid Metal on the IHS, there will be very slight leeching and discoloration of the IHS, but nothing to cause problems if you apply it carefully and clean it up carefully. However would not bother with it too much given the 2600x is not overly difficult to cool with a half decent cooler. I am also ignoring the cooler which may have a different coldplate material. I would just for for a decent thermal paste (though with half decent one, not a big issue) and apply correctly, job done.
