How Much Have You Spent On Keyboards?

more_vert
I think its pretty easy to see that we spend a lot of money on keyboards, By my very rough calculations i've spent around 1200 USD on keyboards and i've only been in this community for two years. How much have you spent, honestly you might not want to look it up, it might depress you.

Too much. Too much keysets, too much artisans, too much switches, too much cases... But too much is not enough 😍

funny thing: i've actually kept a spreadsheet of my purchases related to keyboards since i started in this hobby. i started just a few months ago(february 2022, i believe) and i've spent over $3,200. not proud of that figure by any means. If i had the chance to start over, i would most definitely do my research first.

In one year, $350, and about to buy more keycaps. First keyboard, Drevo BladeMaster TE w/ Razor keycaps, $130. Then Glorious GMMK kit $130, with Glorious wood wrist rest $30, and Mechcables custom cable $60.

DunDunWhat are your thoughts on the Glorious? I like it a lot, except the 0 key on the Num Pad feels less than. Is there a lube or other trick to make it feel like the others? It feels better now that I've used it for a couple of weeks, but still not like the others.

Updated figure for me is clocking in somewhere around $4.5k. It's honestly hard to keep track at this point, but that's also spread out over about three and a half years.

I added it all up and in just 6 months it’s over 1000. That includes a KBDFans 75, Red Scarf iii Ver A, Tina T60, Nautilu and laser keycaps and laser translucent, matching usb cables for both, and some o rings. Also since this was the first time I’ve soldered anything I had to buy an iron, and everything else needed for soldering.
Once the red scarf and laser stuff comes in, I’ll probably be done for awhile. ... Unless I see a good solarized set :)

bboltnI kinda over paid for the Nautilus. It looks amazing but I kinda didn’t know what I was doing and bought the spacebar kit when I didn’t really need it.
