I've been wearing the Citizen Chandler for a while now, and it's a great everyday piece that won't be out of place in civvies, scrubs, or slacks. It's on the smaller end of things with a 37mm case, but the larger numbers make it easy to read in a quick glance, and with the lume, you can count on being able to check the time with minimal light exposure. Numbers, hands, and the triangular hour denominators all glow a blue-green hue and don't disrupt your night vision like your phone and illuminated digital watch will. One reason I picked this classic, handsome, field watch inspired piece was a near absence of maintenance or daily upkeep with the obvious time adjustment. If the time ever comes when you have to replace the solar battery, you've seriously screwed something else up, which would be quite an accomplishment. Adjusting the time, day, and date is a breeze with the goodly sized knurled crown which is protected by the outcroppings on the case. Water resistance isn't a problem if you're not deep sea diving. I don't have any issues with scratching the face, partially since it's level with the top of the case. Affordability is another major plus to this watch, for a sub $100 analog, you really can't beat it. It does everything I need it to well, doesn't break the bank, can stand up to 24/7/356 wear, and still look classy enough to be worn for nearly all occasions. The one thing I don't like straight out of the box was the canvas/pleather band, which wasn't "uncomfortable" per say, it just felt cheap and the lack of adjustment options were clear. I decided to go with a Speidel band, harkening back to the classic field watch look, something my grandfather would've worn in the fields of Normandy. Could be pure placebo or not, I could care less, it didn't cost more than any other Speidel band, but the copper interior seems to make my wrist ache less after being broken years ago, with the tiny side effect of turning my wrist green. It washes off with soap and water, not a big deal. Bottom line (pun sort of intended): if you're looking for an affordable analog watch that keeps quality time, can deal with real life, doesn't require constant maintenance, looks sharp and is comfortable all day, everyday, I can't recommend the Citizen Eco-Drive Chandler enough.
