New Setup - thoughts?

I just put this setup together with the following; JDS Labs EL Stack w/ Custom RCA's Audeze LCD2-C w/ Carbon Fiber and Genuine Leather Headband and Dekoni Elite Velour Pads (I'm still testing the Velour pads. So far I like them, they seem to even out the treble a bit and also sound a tad less dark, and sub bass is maybe slightly less. I liked the way the foe leather pads sounded though so I might switch back, not sure) Sennheiser HD6XX IfI XDSD Portable DAC/Amp Jarvis Bamboo Standing Desk Ikea Chair Macbook Pro Magic Trackpad 2 and Keyboard 2 Amazon LED Amazon Monitor Arm Tucked and wrapped wires Rain Designs mStand

Very sexy. I have an EL DAC to a Magni 3 and that puts out such a smooth clean sound I thoroughly enjoy it.
Ikea chair XD

Actually it isn't that I don't like it, but it's the 1st time I've seen someone list it! Like that attention to detail :)

Oh gotcha it’s tough to see in the pic but it’s a stylish chair with white legs and a swooping contour. I figured people would be interested in a similar setup so why not list it. Thanks though dude!
Where do you get your music??

7digital US for hi res downloads, Apple Music for some I used to use in the past and Tidal for hi res streaming.

Thanks bud means a lot. This is actually just my living room setup as I found myself not wanting to sit in my office for listening and I keep that to music recording and video recording for training videos for my work and drone building so the office is more of a workshop where this living room station is just pure enjoyment and I enjoy a clean n simple setup :).
Right on I will keep you posted. And yeah I’m going to let more time pass with the velours but I almost feel the leather pads kind of give it that smooth, bass sound and now they sound like slightly more bassy and wide HD650s just a tad warmer but I have hd650s so I kind of like that different experience. So I may switch back but upgrade to genuine leather pads to match the genuine leather carbon fiber headband.
Seems like a nice setup! The velour does change the sound of the Audeze headphones a lot and your thoughts on the change in sound mirrors mine (and funnily enough is also backed by one person's measurements). Would be interesting to see whether you decide to stick with this or start adding other gear.

People get way too hung up over measurements (I did at one point). What most fail to realize is that everyone hears sound differently, and everyone has different preferences. Granted, I met people who genuinely like velour pads on their LCD headphones, and good for them.

So guess what I decided to add to my setup. I ordered a Bottlehead S.E.X 3.0 with some upgraded caps and a Gold Point attenuator. Apparently this tube amp actually works well with both the LCD-2 and the HD650s Also got some Dekoni Elite Hybrid pads for my HD650 which seem to increase bass and sound stage for the sacrifice of very slight vocal intimacy. Still intimate though.
