A late wrist-check, as I received my Glycine Combat Sub GL0173  Golden Eye from MD on January 4rd already - and will certainly post more (better) pictures soon. Just had to post my first impressions of this watch as it so far has proved to be one of my better MD buys! Let's start by the fact that mine - so far - runs only 4 seconds late in 5 days. So that's pretty good in my book. Also: love the drilled lugs which the GL0093 does not have. And it's flat! Pretty much in between 15-20% then all my other automatic watches. On the hunt now for some other - non-NATO - straps that will emphasize how flat it is... But guys, this is a keeper!

Thanks for sharing these pics! I have also purchased the GE on the last drop and it's still at the customs (for one week already!). I am keeping my fingers crossed to get an amber/brown-gold color that you got instead of the invicta-yellow-gold version that was offered earlier. If I get what you have that will be a winner. Cheers Mate!

Hello! Yes, finally I've received mine 2 weeks ago. Honestly I have mixed feelings. Pros: 1. This is my third Glycine and like the previous ones the quality is great. 2. The brown/gold bezel is what I wanted. 3. Crown and bezel is superb. Cons: 1. I would prefer the matt case instead of shiny one. 2. The minutes and hours marks on the dial are bit too dark. Legibility is not at it's best. Maybe I just need a little bit more time to get used to it? Cheers

Elkywell good to hear you finally got it. Legibility is always one of my biggest requirements and it is definitely as good as, lets say, my Seiko Ice Monster ;-) But I find it enough to be able to sleep with it and still being able to see the time at, let's say 05:00. But I get what you say. Also: it feels like the crystal is a way bigger smudge magnet than any other watch I own? It gets dirty real easy and that actually does interfere with legibility... What is your experience?
