Is it possible to show an animated gif? I didn't want to do individual pics of the submarines.
EDIT: I see that the gif animates on an Android phone but not on a PC. I'll post the Vostok submarines in a reply.

BF_HammerThat's a lot of watches, dang... haven't had a chance to look at them all, good show BF. Wondering what's your routine for choosing what to wear in the morning : )).
ps. Are you Russian by any chance?

GES11TNot difficult. I wear the Seiko Solar to work every M-F as my job is hard on watches. After work and on weekends I will find some watch calling to me to wear it.

Xman762Ball may be making some version of Hydrocarbon diver still, but the Mad Cow was over 10 years ago. Matter of fact I bought that one used in 2007.

Thank-you. I just this year had to replace the clock movement as DIY project. No clock repair shop wanted to touch it in my city. Thank goodness for YouTube on that one.

No, never in service. It started with admiring the classic blue dialed Vostok submarine watch. I bought one, then sort of decided to see if I could get all of the different versions of submarine Vostoks. Of course I severely underestimated how many variants they made over the decades. LOL

BF_HammerAnd here is the individual submarine dials for all you spectators. They are a mix of Vostok Amphibias, Komandirskies, and anti-magnetic models. Some cal. 2416, 2414, 2409. Most function, but some were bought strictly for their looks. LOL

The chrono above is really a product of First Moscow Watch Factory and has a cal. 3133 movement. This was my first submarine dial.
search
You might not immediately notice a difference between the watch above and below. It is in the text under the 6. The bottom watch has the Soviet Ministry of Defense markings which is highly prized on this particular dial version.
search

search
The "ripple" dial above apparently has a very rare sibling in green. That is one I have seen pictures of once, but have not tracked one down yet.
search
The watch above can be described as color-changing. Depending on the light source, it may be black, purple, or brown.

The submarine is subtle on that last watch, it is in the foreground directly in front of the ship.
search
This one is actually a Slava. Dial is faded enough that the object under the 12 might be a front view of a submarine, but really is unknown. Soviet submarines don't traditionally have dive planes on the conning tower like that, but it was common for American submarines until the most recent classes of attack subs.

BF_HammerStoning collection Mr. Hammer. Love the variety. Some collectors says "less is more" i don't believe on that. Of course, if you have enough money to have a Rolex Submariner or a Daytona, Omega Seamaster and for a dress watch a Patek Philippe in your collection, then you can say that, cos with those watches i think you're done. For me, i'm enjoying the journey.

BF_HammerLove the brown rustic leather strap on the Citizen Eco Drive. . Is that the original strap? If not, Where may I find a strap like that? Would you please point me to the vendor for that strap?

WatchDoctorSearch ebay for vendor NATO International. I think it is called a bomber jacket strap. It is a faux distressed finish though, strictly new leather.

BF_HammerI am glad I knew about that crown or I would have sent it back, cuz it’s weird. Should have wiped it off , thoses arnt scratches! The manual is in German, can date be set quickly or do you have to run through hours to set date? Does it wind in both directions? It’s a automatic! Not sure for winders? Thanks

BF_HammerNice collection and excellent photography by the way! The sleeper of the bunch has to be the Citizen Perpetual Calendar Chrono with that really great looking leather strap! Is it their model BL5250-02L? Curious because their specs say Titanium case, but your bezel appears more reflective than I'd have imagined for Ti. And of course I'd like to hear the story behind that great strap!

RayFI think you may have the right model # Ray. This is the version that came with the leather croc-grained strap. I still have the original strap around, but it wears pretty stiff. The current strap (and I still am using that combo) is from NATO International on Ebay. They call it a vintage bomber jacket strap. I am certain they don't actually use vintage leather, but instead apply a faux patina to new leather. If you scuff off the shiny clear-coat it really looks pleasing. Yes it is all titanium, the weight gives it away. The bezel is polished. I have easily had that watch for 11 years now, and I could easily live with it as the only watch I could own. I like it that much.

BF_HammerIt's a great looking watch--very versatile with a pretty comprehensive set of features (I've been reading up on it since). You've probably sold one for them--along with that cool strap too. Appreciate the info!
