Tell me why I wouldn't want these?

I'm in love with these speakers. I have to be honest though, I'm in love with the appearance. I have no idea how they sound and they are crazy expensive. Talk me out of buying a set of these with my upcoming bonus :)

They are not crazy expensive, and I’m sure they’ll sound just fine if looks are most important. If you want to know what you’re getting, and how different the various models can sound, go to an HiFi store and demo some speakers yourself.

Do you buy a TV without ever seeing the picture first? Crazy expensive speakers need to be demoed first in a realistic environment that simulates your home somewhat. And with your own music also. Seek out a local retailer if there are any.

I'm asking because I'm not an audiophile. I don't know what is good and isn't. I just like the appearance and I try not to base judgement on that. Didn't work very well in the younger years with woman and never works well with this type of thing :P

Because they use a 6.5" woofer without a tweeter? https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/approx-6-7-woofers-sb-acoustics/sb-acoustics-sb17nac35-4-6.5-aluminum-cone-woofer-4-ohm/
Although I'm not sure if you're asking a question or...
wwenzeThese are designed to add more "oomph" to their "ceramic speaker" system. The ceramic speaker is a full range design so it covers the high frequencies, that woofer is only used up to 125Hz. OP would need to add the $500 option ceramic speaker to get anything other than bass for his $2350 a pair. I don't recommend buying speakers over $500 that you can't either listen to first or return easily if you don't like how they play with your system. I'm not familiar with this manufacturer and I don't like the built in T-amps... a better option IMO... http://www.zuaudio.com/loudspeakers/omen-2
