Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm vs. M40x with ZMF Earpads

more_vert
Hello, I would first off like to say that I have seen many post here about this exact thing but I have not been able to come to a conclusion once and for all so I would like to settle that today. I am very new to the audio game and am looking to getting my first pair of quality headphones, coming from headsets (so basically anything will be an improvement I guess) As of now I am stuck between the Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm and the ATH-M40x with ZMF Earpads. I am looking for headphones that are closed back and good for gaming (imaging, sound stage, etc.) I do not have any amp or dac right now, so these would be getting plugged straight into my PC's mother board (MSI B350 PC Mate) I am open to suggestions if you do not feel these are the best out there for my circumstances My budget is about 150 dollars. Thank you for reading this!

I agree with GiantHeadphoneSquid. For the uses you describe and the budget you’ve stated, the Beyerdynamics are the best choice. You won’t be disappointed.
