Are there pens that take Pilot's G-Tec-C cartridges?

more_vert
I'm a big fan of these pens for my daily use, but I want something more substantive and durable. For example, sometimes I switch over to Zebra F-701s or Parker Jotters, both all metal. I'm also just curious in general; do any other pens take these cartridges?

Yes. Keep in mind that the G-Tec-C and the Hi-Tec-C are the same (just different branding). Some metal pens which take this refill are: the CW&T Pen Type-B, the BIGiDESIGN Ti Arto EDC, and the Ti2 TechLiner. Also some pens by Tactile Turn and Karas Kustoms probably do as well. It’s a popular refill so I’d imagine there are others. You should also take a look at JetPens' guide for some more pointers: https://www.jetpens.com/blog/hi-tec-c-a-comprehensive-guide/pt/629

jeffstyrCool, thanks! Does anybody have experience with the CW&T Type-A or B? They look pretty nice but I'm curious how good a grip one can get without any knurling or such.

oiralirebought a TItanium sleeve pen type B a few years ago. it's been an on-and-off thing with me. the feel of the pen is great, it doesn't feel slippery when you grip it to write, the sleeve works almost too well. my main issue with it is, i think, the "vacuum" it creates when the housing is in the sleeve. the g-tec tip starts to slowly leak out of the pen tip & it starts to accumulate at the bottom of the sleeve. & when enough of the ink has leaked, it starts to cover the pen tip & i have to constantly wipe it off before i start writing. i thought the fix to it was to make it less of a vacuum. i did that by removing the rubber o-ring under the screw at the top of the housing. worked well for a time, but sooner or later it started to leak again. look -- it might be because the pens i have i bought back in either 2005 or 2007, & something in the ink is making it leak out of the pen, but i've been using other pens out of those 2005/2007 boxes & they work fine in their original plastic casings. I'm in the market to replace my Pen Type B & give it early retirement. had a look at these guys & they look good. Shop — ATELEIA my only issue is that the pens in that housing could easily roll off. but then again, Pen Type B could roll off too, if it wasn't it it's sleeve. good luck & hello from 2020 Australia -- we've somewhat recovered & the Yanks have voted him out -- and unless you wanted him to stay, well, this is awkward...
