Sennheiser HD 6XX upgrade?
I currently own the Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee headphones and was wondering if the HD 6XX would be a noticable upgrade or if I should just save up more for a "mid-tier" set of cans. I have them currently running through the Sound BlasterX G5 amp, I know it's not high quality but I got it for $50 on a sale and don't have a very big budget.

A common trope that I saw elsewhere on the internet before I bought a pair of HD-6XX's, that I have experienced as an HD-6XX owner, is that the 6xx/650 "scales well with equipment." With better and better input devices to drive them with, I have had better and better experiences with my 6XX, more so than with any of my other headsets (my Sennheiser HD1's, Fostex TR-X00's, HiFiMan HE-4XX's, B&W P3 Series II's, and my Audeze LCD-2C's all do not see as much "benefit" from stepping up my input power capabilities as the 6XX has/did).
For Christmas my wife got me a 3rd party (Periapt) Balanced XLR connection for my HD-6XX's, which allowed me to use the (much more powerful/capable) balanced XLR output on my Schiit Jotunheim; the end result made the 6XX's a much more complete/overall headset for me, that stacks up very well in pretty much every way with pretty much every other headset I own. Prior to having access to that kind of cable/input, when driving them off the (much less powerful) single-ended connection on the Jot, the 6XX's were my favorite/go-to for Jazz/Accappella/Singer-Songwriter/Female Vocals music, but they were an afterthought for harder rock. I still don't turn to them for hip-hop or electronic, because I own a pair of Audeze's, but in my experience they really do get better and better with better driving capability.

@ScornedMonk - While i do agree that Elex will be a amazing upgrade, if I were you, I would focus on improving other parts of your setup first. My recommendation would be to put your money towards a good dac/amp. You will get more out of your current and future investments. For the next headphone, my recommendation would be to try something different than what you have. Again, in your shoes, I would buy a HiFiman 4xx or better planars next. If you could spend a little more, Modhouse Argon Mk3 will put in a good place for some time. Just my 2¢ :)

Agree with previous comment that if you save up until you can grab a set of Focal Elex you're getting a defnite upgrade.

I say save up. You're getting into a can of worms on HD 6XX. It's a capable headphone, but it comes with baggage. If you want to get what you can out of it, you're likely looking at a new amp too. If you already have an amp that can drive them, you might find that you enjoy them more. It's more of a side-grade than an upgrade, IMO.
If you save up until you can grab a set of Focal Elex you're getting a defnite upgrade.

If you got the HD58X Jubilee dont bother because the re roughly the same sound signature at the ball park where the HD6XX is a better headphone. However, the 58X is easier to drive and has a warmer sounding meaning its better all rounder where bass region can sound good. Meaning you get neutrality of the HD650 but with bass. In addition to that, if you remove the memory foam inside the driver it will be similar like the 660s closely. Go for 6XX if you are other vocal isolation and upper mids focus of music where bass is the least important. To the point its so good, people rather have both to its own benefits.

I wouldn't say you're getting an upgrade. The HD58X and 6XX have different sound signatures.

Ringing in PC38X's
I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x
Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. I am using the Topping D50 DAC. thx!!

Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better.
