So, I just bought the HD6xx, and while I wait for them to arrive, I started asking myself if the gear I already have will suffice for such demanding headphones. Straight to the point: I have a FiiO K1 DAC (I know, very entry-level one, but still better than the one built-in in my PC), and a Yamaha HTR-5830 DSP. that I use mostly with a 5.1 surrond system bought several years ago. Now, the yamaha also has a jack-out for listening with headphones.
