Sorry for the mess, things are in the middle of getting moved around. Anyway, figured I'd share my ballin' on a budget setup that I have going. The thing that isn't pictured is my phone, which is a HTC One M8. All of this stuff is from poking around the basement, thrift stores, and relatives.
Full view of my desk. I have two PCs doing different things. The main one with the monitor in the middle is my main machine running Windows 10 with foobar2K installed. The other one to the left of the picture is my Ubuntu machine that I use for audio production.

For my main speakers, I use a pair of modified KLH L652B speakers. I found them in a set of 4, as well as a pair of 911B satellites that I use as my rears, all for $15 at a Goodwill.
I was finding that the tweeter on them was a bit underwhelming, so on a whim I modded them using a little pair of Yamahas that were floating around and that no one wanted. The tweeters in both speakers disconnected, as I also found that the one in the Yamaha was too shrill. The woofer in the little guy is the tweeter now, connected to the same circuit the old L652B tweeter was, so it gets the proper cutoff signal.
As a result, the highs are MUCH better defined, and also have PHENOMENAL imaging. Beats some better systems I've heard. I've also never heard of anyone using a woofer as a tweeter, so if anyone wants to comment, I'd welcome the conversation. Feel free to say I'm completely doing it wrong if you want, I'm new to this, so I'd welcome any and all info, whether it be positive or negative

Rear view of the mod. The wires, as far as I've heard, don't produce any port chuffing, or anything similar. The board is there to point them slightly downward to point at my ear.

I use two woofers to give them room to breathe. The black one is a Jenson JS800 for handling the mid-low end, while the silver Yamaha YST-SW015 behind it handles sub-bass. Since each woofer has a job to do, things are handled, and everything sound (and feels xD) pretty natural. I try to keep the low-end reeled in so it doesn't overpower the rest. The Jenson recieves full-range by way of speaker wire and cuts off at 150hz, hence the central location, while the Yamaha is fed with the sub out on the back of my receiver, cut off at 50hz.

My receiver is a Yamaha HTR-5650 that, to be honest, I've kind of fallen in love with. 80W per channel, 5.1, and is fed by optical in, which is my preferred method for the time being. It also has a pretty decent headphone out. My plan is to at some point upgrade to Schiit and SMSL hardware. I love my receiver, but it's just way too big for my desk. This thing I got while doing some basement diving. My family used to have a 5.1, but they don't use anymore, so my parents pretty much gave it to me. It's also where the little Yamahas for my tweeter mod came from.

My vinyl setup is a Technics SL-1500 that I got off of BuyNothing. It's probably the best I could ever get without going overboard. A needle upgrade is in the near future. I suspect the one on it right now is the same one it came with way back in the 80s. That being said, it's held up really well, and sounds great as-is. The needle swap will be more piece of mind for myself and my records than anything else. I have a collection of around 70-75 records at the moment. My favorite record I've gotten so far is shown up in the picture.

This Walkman is my entire tape game at the moment. I've only just started to get into the tape side of things, but I'm really happy with it. It belonged to my great-grandpa, and he left it to me when he passed recently since he knew how much I love this stuff. I've already started to dub tapes with it, and it's some of the most fun I've been having with audio equipment recently.

These are my main headphones, V-Moda LP2s. They aren't the greatest in the world, but I got these as a Christmas gift and I'm also a recent high school graduate without a job. You do the math. These are a bit bass heavy for my liking, but since these have bass ports on them, I was abler to plug them up with tape. That helped significantly, and everything is pretty well balanced now. I DJ as well, so these are as much a tool as they are a toy, which is actually the reason I got them for Christmas.
Future plans are to replace the receiver with a more desk-friendly solution. That could either be a Schiit stack, or an SMSL AD18. More likely the latter. The thing is that I'll be giving up that wondrous near-field surround sound, so I'm still on the fence on whether I'll ever actually do it. I'll also be looking to upgrade/swap my speakers. I've heard good things about the Micca MB42Xs, so I'll be looking at those pretty closely. More like drooling...
All-in-all, not bad for a broke 19 year-old I guess. Nothing from Massdrop yet, but that should be subject to change soon. :)
