Lighting is less than ideal but bright enough I guess, here's the office set up. I had a gaming PC back in 2012 now it's just good enough for working. No fancy color'd fans or anything, just hard wood and headphones that big empty spot is for an in progress amp I forgot to pull out <.< plus what ever else I'm listening to for that day

Just got this speaker set up mostly for Movies and listening in the bedroom! LSR 308's fed from a JDS Labs EL Dac and OL Switcher, I haven't settled on positioning. This was just a quick pick after I unboxed them and gave them a first listen just to ensure that everything was functional.

Lastly my portables, M2S and HM 601 get the most action when I'm out and about. The 601 is just for EDM and I pair it with my HD 25-1 ii love the parametric EQ in Rock Box so I have a custom curve just for the HD 25-1 ii, other wise the M2S does everything else... But I'll carry the HM901 along with either the Pico Power or PB2 when I want to listen to something more substantiated away from home.

VollyThanks!
I love finding older wood furniture second hand, it's all super well made and often pretty cheap. The desk was kind of an accidental find, the hutch atop of it is actually from a bed, so from there I figured I had enough to start finding more, collections going on 5+ years now ^^

MshenayGood lord I am drooling at your headphone collection. Just curious, with the kind of money to buy that many nice headphones, why did you opt for the JBL LSR308's? Not that they're necessarily bad, but I feel your speaker setup could have been stronger.

SephHaleyI'm sorry to hear my Speaker game was not strong enough for you lol, the Speakers are for movies and Tv primarily... so I wanted that extra bit of response down low and frankly they are pretty impressive a lot more kick than I was expecting. As far as music goes, they still scale nicely with different DAC's / PreAmps but yea they are by no means the last word in resolution
Money wise, I have no idea been collecting for maybe 5+ years now. It used to be larger but I sold off a lot of cans to get the Eikon/HD800/LCD 2, but I did spend like $500ish getting about 8 under $100 closed backs for a review I'm working on after which I'll be keeping the best and selling the rest

MshenaySorry I didn't mean to offend, I was purely curious. Well either way it's quite a nice gig you've got going!

SephHaleyNah, you didn't offend me. I'm just picking
From what I've read it seems the LSR 30Xs are a bit more resolving especially in a smaller near field set up Like I could affix them to the sides of my desk and likely have a really nice speaker set up in my office
But, I didn't really need a nice set up for the office, rather I wanted something with a bit more power and authority down low for our movie room. Since we watch movies together, I wanted something that we could both enjoy, and for less experienced listeners, impact is more enjoyable than "imaging," not to say the LSR 308s has poor imaging, but rather it has the right mix of impact and resolve for my needs
