A $2,300 Citizen ProMaster dive watch?

more_vert
Do you think the new ISO compliant 2017 Citizen ProMaster 1000m Professional Diver justifies a $2,300 MSRP? It features a power reserve indicator, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a "Super Titanium" case and bezel with DLC + MRK coatings, a helium release valve, and a locking unidirectional bezel. The Eco-Drive J210 movement is rated at +/- 15 seconds per month.
My answer was yes... though after a healthy discount. Here it is with the included black polyurethane strap next to my "Eco-Zilla" ProMaster 300m (sporting an aftermarket Suppa Zilla titanium bracelet):

Eco-Drive means solar? If so, what does the power reserve indicator do? Tell you the current battery charge? My old solar G-Shock solar watch could go into a drawer for a couple of months and keep on ticking by going into a hibernation mode.
I love the look of the huge bezel and the tiny watch part, and the huge, stubby hands, although the bezel font/number size doesn't thrill me.

This week I received a SuppaParts BN Zilla bracelet for my Citizen ProMaster 1000m Professional Diver pictured above. It is the same titanium bracelet as shown above on my “Eco-Zilla “ ProMaster 300, except for custom adapters to fit this watch. I will post photos soon. The Zilla bracelet is extremely well made and well worth the $310 price (which includes worldwide FedEx delivery).

FYI: BN7020-17E is the USA model number that I purchased from the Citizen Company Store, while BN7020-09E is the model number sold in Japan and other parts of the world (and the model listed in most of the watch reviews).
