Enter Our Daily Quotes Contest!

Time for a fun challenge!
We’re hosting a contest for everyone to write a quote every day for 7 days. They can be witty, deep, funny, frightening, and even made up. The choice is yours. For each day that you submit a quote in the discussion below, you'll gain an entry to win one of seven Lamy Safari fountain pens!
HOW TO ENTER 1. Handwrite a quote. 2. Take a picture of your quote and the pen you used to write it with, whatever pen that may be. 3. Upload your image in the discussion below. 4. Every day you submit a quote, you gain an entry in the contest (maximum of one per day, seven total).
Note: We want this to be as open as possible, so there are only a couple of rules. Make sure to use quotation marks, and if you use someone else’s quote, state who it belongs to. Quotes can also be made up! Your quote should look something like this:
“This quote is missing something.”
– John Smith
THE WINNERS The winners will be randomly selected at the end of the contest period on Friday, September 29 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Remember: The more days you submit a quote (up to 7), the greater your chances of winning. (Inappropriate quotes will be flagged and removed

PRIZES In our last contest (one-liner stories), we gave away one fountain pen to the ultimate winner. This time, we’re giving away a Lamy Safari fountain pen to seven winners. Each winner will receive a different random pen color.

EXAMPLES Here are some examples to use as inspiration. You don't need to use a fountain pen specifically, and it doesn't need to be on fancy paper. Your entries will be valid even if you use ballpoints and sticky notes. We just want to provide a fun way to work on your penmanship and give out some great prizes while doing so.

I agree with @RFeiertag - it was a fun contest (the first public contest I've joined) and the pen is lagniappe!

I love the pairing above of the Steve Martin quotation and a pen with Egyptian hieroglyphs! King Tut!
