FAQ
Why aren't the MiTo DSA: Sci-Fi and MiTo DSA: Overcast colorschemes available?
Offering all previous kits together with the new modern colorschemes would result in a logistical bottleneck, as the group buy would become very complex resulting in delays/fulfilling mistakes. At that point, the project would feature over 15 different colors and several different kits, resulting in a more expensive and complex product. Right now I don't have enough firepower to offer these kits as a retailer, so a coordinated group buy needs to be arranged.
Will the previous colorschemes make a comeback?
Booth is working on it.
What is Solace and Rush, where these names came from?
These colorschemes' names were conceived after the original in-game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive weapon skins: Icarus Fell and Neon Rider. The Solace colorscheme is the exact same as PuLSE SA, while the Rush colorscheme features all new ABS plastic colors, mixed by the manufacturer per request based on the weapon skin tones, Pantones' standards and my personal perception of colors.
Are these keycaps interchangeable with the previous MiTo DSA Series runs?
The keycaps can be mixed and matched not only with the MiTo DSA: Sci-Fi and MiTo DSA: Overcast keysets, but previous DSA keysets as well. Due to the modularity system implemented in this group buy, it is possible to purchase only the vital kits for a specific layout.
How can I keep track of this project?

This or Laser?!?

Already have SA Pulse so RUSH is what I would go for which is a similar colorway to Laser.
Heart says "yes!" Brain says "no!" Wallet says "FML!"
TonightAt11
I got like, a half set of Pulse SA that I have c-c-c-combo'd with Carbon - almost thought about Pulse DSA... but I too feel a greater need for rush/laser... My compromise was the 1337 Rush or Meezy kit and Novelties from Legacy and then i'ma just disregard bills and rent for Laser when that drops.
yeah im going to go ahead and need every option on this drop...
@MiTo a couple of us have noticed that there are caps in the renders that don't seem to exist in any of the kits...pink Rush 1337 caps, and purple on cyan caps...any chance these will be included?
Also, I'd love to see an accent kit of some sort...it would suck to have to buy an entire additional base mods kit or 40s kit to get an Enter and Shift in an alternate color - an accent kit with a few select caps from each color (Escape, Enter, Shift) would be dope, and would probably sell super well!
Monkeysontoast
> pink Rush 1337 caps,
In what render have you seen a 1337 kit with pink keycaps?
Also, where have you seen purple on cyan keycaps?
EDIT:
Found the renders you're talking about, working to fix that!
Gonna need those Rush alphas in my life, stat.
PLEASE AND THANKS.
Feel a bit insecure about ordering anything from massdrop after the planck chaos happened. Too bad, really wanted this set
aqxari
I (and many others) have participated in hundreds of drops - I was also part of the Planck fiasco but one has to put things into perspective; everyone runs into problems now and then.
That's not to say I think MD has been doing great of late, they definitely have not and there have been inexcusable amounts of mess ups but if you really want something the risk is always there no matter what. Every vendor has had issues, delays happen more often than not no matter how you go about it.
Passing on a set you really want because you're worried things may take longer than you'd like them to is understandable but that's always going to be a thing with group buys.
Vigrith
I know that Massdrop will always have a following and there's a risk in joining any group buy. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm not willing to take that risk. I have actually witnessed MD's lack of support. A friend of mine and I joined a drop about a year ago. They shipped out a faulty product and after over a month of trying to get some support from MD, we gave up. At the end of the day, we knew it was a risk, we took that risk, and accepted it. But still here I am, I actually joined Mito's XDA Godspeed drop not too long ago (which was my third drop on MD and 8th overall). My insecurity is still there because I know (from past experience and MD's support history) that if there were ANY problem with ANY of the products they ship out, I feel certain that MD's support will be nonexistent.
I think MD need to work a little harder to gain their customers' trust. I don't mind products being late as long as there's honesty and trust throughout the entire process.
So SA caps has 9 months wait, GMK 4. What's the wait-time for DSA keys?
jrjr2
I'd wager 4 months sounds about right.
Got nothing in my wallet, so sad.
Damn it. All the combinations look good. This could get expensive...
zzzaacchh
So close to Christmas too. Gonna be eating ramen for a long time.
Compjunkie888
Probably indefinitely, since Mito keeps dropping bangin' keycaps every couple months.
Pulse color scheme, finally :D When this will be released? Hope for reasonable delivery date.

Next Monday, 6 AM PST!
MiTo
HOLY CRAP I NEED FUNDS
No more 1.75u function? When will you be releasing the SA pluse? SA pulse is my dream
Eddychan
> No more 1.75u function?
We have 1.75u FN, it's in the Extras Mods!
I was looking forward to Pulse and it looks delicious, but...
...I need to point out that UK and Norde support is lacking somewhat.
1.25u LShift key? Not present in neither Norde nor UK kit. It's impossible to, for example, cover a Nordic keyboard without it because we use an extra key there. The only kits with a 1.25u Shift key are the Extras Mods kit and 40s Mods kit.
It's already expensive enough to buy all kits to cover a European keyboard. This means yet another kit just to cover a standard layout.
Also, no AltGr key of any size. It's present on most European keyboards (never saw a European keyboard without it, but I guess one could exist somewhere).

It's in the Base Mods kit.

The difference between the AltGr keycap and the Alt keycap is literally a Gr, let's be frank that's pretty much the same. Why include yet another extra 1.25u if Alt is enough to do the job? I understand how some people would like to have 100% accurate legends since they are paying for a high-end aftermarket custom product, but the audience that actually wants this is very small in the grand scheme of things. That's why the euro kits are only offered in black to begin with - last time I offered all colors options to the euro market, only 4 people (out of thousands) purchased the Lunar Godspeed XDA Norde kit. Fulfilling only 4 orders out of thousands require lots of coordination and it's simply not worth it from the organizers standpoint view. Adding a Gr keycap would just increase the complexity of the product for pretty much a negligibe gain. Hope you understand!
MiTo
Ha! I was looking so hard and was surprised it wasn't there. Thanks for pointing it out! :)
On a European keyboard, those are entirely different. I use AltGr *daily* to access the third symbol on alphanumeric keys; like tilde or brackets for example. I use Alt far more seldom and to perform alternate actions; e.g. interacting with windows.
The Euro customer base is already small. I don't think it's going to become bigger by having US-ANSI 100% accurate and ISO less than.
But I agree it's a difficult matter. I wish there were better strategies to solve this dilemma.
That being said. Love the colorways on this one! It really looks amazing! :)
is this gonna be produced by SP?
fishpod
I would guess yes, but since it's DSA it won't suffer from horrible delays
hmmm wasnt planning on order any more keysets but then i saw this. Probably laser and maybe pulse.
Cancelling my plans to order 3 sets of Laser(I'll still buy one set, though). GMK doesn't easily fit on an ortho board, so these sets are PERFECT. @MiTo , you're a keyset GENIUS.
Looks great!
This is literally life.
*when you have been waiting for the original Overcast colors*

@MiTo Any chance there will be another SA Pulse Set sometime soon?
@MiTo requesting renders for zambloo/black alphas + rush mods. Pretty please.

renders look good. still crying in Spanish
Fantastic, Rush alphas with Pulse mods looks kinda like Skeletor (which I like) and Rush mods + zambloo alphas is very cool too.
Man, so many cool options to go with this time around - it's a shame so many cool sets are ongoing, 9009 is up, Necro starts tomorrow, Laser looms near... Crazy times for us key cap enthusiasts!
I am down let's do this.
This is beautiful, but I've been holding out for Laser ever since it was first announced. Don't have enough money for both, and now I'm torn...
Now I need this set AND laser please!!!
But... Laser? :(.....
Iredeus
Yes what about laser, it was scheduled for this qtr.
newDealer
I mean I'm sure it's coming....this is just super surprising. I thought Laser would be the next thing we'd see from MiTo. I guess that will start immediately when this drop ends, or potentially while this one is still going? Either way, good on MiTo, glad too see he's got a lot going on. I just hope it's not too much!
Lordy. I'm gonna have to sue you for assault and battery on my wallet.
And here I thought Laser might drop this month :(
LevelSteam
same. when I saw MiTo's name in my inbox my heart stopped. ;)
Quit being a tease and just tell us when! 😃

MiTo
wait what?!!!!! no laser dropping?:(
Where's my frying pan MiTo?
Load 3 more comments
@MiTo thank you, and you should try PUBG asap.
Awesome. The weapons are not the same, but the pan is like the standout symbol of the game.
BUT WHERE IS LASERRRRRRRRR
dude the new stuff is very laser... but i love it
Load 1 more comment
i want to get all 3 colorways and mix and match.. like, that's unrealistic financially, but man.
BlueCrowned
Yep, plus need to keep some cash reserved for GMK Laser. I'm gonna pick up the pulse colorway though... I missed the original drop and it's one of my favorite colorways so I can't pass on that.
