Just dropped another pre-release version of the client side configurator: https://github.com/kiibohd/configurator/releases
This new one adds flashing support (if you have dfu-util installed and available on your path it will automagically use it, otherwise just download and point it to it the first time and you're good to go)! (also added a single-color canned animation)
There'll be one maybe two more pre-releases before the 5th. Going to add more animation controls and address some UX issues. In the next week you'll also see documentation and videos for using it!

jbondesonFor Win 64, kiibohd-configurator-0.1.0-alpha7-win.exe is good? Also, do I still need that zadig?

MoonwolfYes, that or the non-installer "win.zip" will work just fine on win64.
Zadig is a one-time thing so if you've already installed the driver for the bootloader you're good to go. (just make sure to only install it when your keyboard is in flash mode). We're working on autodriver installation, but it won't make it for v1 on the 5th.
Steps #1 & #2 are the same currently from here: https://github.com/kiibohd/KiiConf/wiki/Flashing-the-K-Type#flashing---windows

jbondesonThanks! However, my Enter key still doesn't work after successfully flashing it. I will wait a few more days for your v1 software but possibly my K-type is a defective. I love everything about this keyboard by the way.

MoonwolfA couple of things to quickly try: Map enter to a random key on your keyboard and see if it triggers, if it does: Pull the enter keycap and switch - check to see that a pin is not bent - if not contact massdrop support if it doesn't: Check the keyboard on a second computer -- you may have software that's interfering with it.

jbondesonYup, I tried it. I mapped Enter to \, and \ works as Enter. I mapped \ to Enter and it still doesn't do anything. I also tried to swap the keys. What was at Enter works at other positions, but nothing works at Enter position. So, I think my Enter position is dead. I created a support ticket already. For now, I have Enter at \ so I can at least type until the replacement comes.

jbondesonNot sure how to message you directly, or if that's even possible, so I'll just leave this here. I am sure you are dealing with all sorts of one-off bugs and feature adds, but I've been downloading and installing the client side configurator since I first saw you post about it. I just received my K-Type today and had a chance to use the configurator. It worked perfectly, and while I have a wish list a mile long, I wanted to relay that I was really happy with how simple it was to configure the keyboard and visuals. Thank you for all of your hard work on this. :)
