What are your thoughts on 'RealForce RGB' ?

more_vert
I've just found out about the new Topre switch with variant actuation point which was revealed at 'Computex 2016'. I'm really looking forward to the tenkeyless edition if available at all. I'm ready to try topre switch for the first time, hopefully someone can negotiate a group buy drop here.

I love this board after I did a little modding swapping out the keycaps for a nice set of SA keycaps and applying the KBDFans hyper x rings on the sliders. It now reminds me of a true topre sound. as far as feeling goes it is still the same topre switch underneath so its great. RGB is just a bonus if you're into that.

Looking forward to the TKL version. I love the full size one but could use the extra space in my keyboard tray. I love how the switches feel. I don't care if the sound is different from their other keyboards. I don't buy a keyboard for the sound.

I will buy at least three more when they come out with TKL for sitting on laptops. I am already replacing my full-size fleet of boards with these. Best Realforce ever.

RGB lighting is great, I tried one last night. It looks beautiful yet Topre basically destroyed everything from 87u. Typing experience was crap, it makes very bad almost frivolous sound. If you want to get a realforce keyboard for that "realforce" feedback, don't buy RGB it is worse than Noppo

WASppI also got to add, that the keys feel a little heavier than a regular 45g switch

WASppSo the realforce rgb is the " Typing experience was crap, it makes very bad almost frivolous sound. If you want to get a realforce keyboard for that "realforce" feedback, don't buy RGB it is worse than Noppo " right?

It's been confirmed via Tom'sHardware that Massdrop will be stocking this keyboard for a drop, but do we have any idea when it's set to go live ?

I am typing this review on a production model Realforce RGB. I can honestly say that this is one of the best mechanical keyboard's i have used. The actuation point changer works very well, and has a noticeable difference in response times while playing games.
The RGB lighting is great! It really does have a nice under glow as someone said below me. I am looking forward to the release of the software to customize the lighting which should launch any day now.

Hey Ryan,
The website is now up, and working. Sorry for the late reply! I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.

Zach89I'm not a big fan of Topre switches, but that is some gorgeous lighting.

In my humble opinion sales will be good for a little while and then they will collapse.
I am not interested in this board at all. I sold my soul to Plum as their 35g switch is my favorite.

Not interested with 45g actuation and full size. However if it's TLK with 55g actuation , I will buy it without hesitation.
