Bark River Bravo 1LT in cpm3v. One of the top 3 fixed blade knives available.

Kershaw just released the fixed skyline in S30V. It looks pretty stellar as a camp knife.
Also look into the RUIKE hornet, extremely lightweight, good steel, fair price.
but nothing will compare to the morakniv companion.

Depends on your usecase.
If you're building shelter from scrap, chopping firewood, or otherwise literally staking your life on the knife not breaking, get an ESEE or other full tang 4-6 inch blade made of 1095 carbon steel. (and a small axe) If you might need to cut some paracord, open a can, fix a camp chair, etc you can't go wrong with a leatherman.
If you're going to be using the knife a lot but aren't going to be prying or other extreme heavy use your life depends on it kinda stuff, the Morakniv's are great, low cost, comfortable, etc.

reecemisterI was just referring to the possible camp chores he listed in his first response (building a shelter, cutting paracord, fixing a camp chair, etc) To illustrate that it’s best to have more than one knife in the great outdoors. That being said, the old adage applies “the best knife is the one you have with you”. Case in point, I’ve used my leatherman for much larger tasks than it was designed for on multiple occasions just because that’s what I happened to have on me at the time.

Get a Morakniv. Any of them. Sharp, robust, and disposable, because almost all are under 20$ I love mine.

Swiss Army Knife - Victorinox Tinker (or the Spartan if you need to uncork some wine) is a great place to start! Light, relatively inexpensive, everything you need, and nothing you don't. I've had one along on most backpacking trips and day hikes since I was a scout many years ago. Of course, if you plan to process serious lumber and get into heavy bush crafting action, you'll need to add a fixed blade too (but that's a whole other thing). Depending on where you live and work, the SAK is also a relatively accepted, non-threatening blade in public.

So what do YOU actually use a "camping" knife for? Are you a bushcraft guy who is processing firewood and building a shelter from scratch with his knife? Just a regular Joe who goes camping and wants to have a knife with him for some food prep and maybe cutting some cord for hanging something up?
Give me two things. The most common uses you envision this knife doing, and a budget range. Then I can help you. Budget range doesn't have to be exact, 0-100, 100-200, 0-200. Knives can get really really ridiculously expensive.

Nice list here. The Fallkniven F1 is the only one i haven't personally owned nor used on here. I would add that for hard use i would much rather go with any of the other 3 options over the Helle. To my knowledge the Eggen like most of their knives tapers a by about 2/3s into the handle, even though they are full tangs. Personally of these 5 the tops B.O.B. is without question the best option(though as i said i have no experience with the F1)
And another option in the $150 price range i could recommend is the Benchmade Bushcrafter, though it retails around $180 you can get it right at $150 with a little patience on a site like eBay. Just make sure it's from a trusted seller.
And 2 higher dollar knives that are without question my favorite 2 i have ever used for camping/ bushcrafting is the spyderco bushcrafter and the bark river bushcrafter 2. (I should have replied to reecemister but I'm new to posting on here and i wanted to compliment your list)
Edited: one more recommendation that you can scoop up right now for $80 is a limited run Ontario Tak 5 from knifecenter. Only 500 were made and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a serialized number on the blade... not that that matters much since it will be heavily used, but i thought others may be interested as well before they are sold out. A really cool knife for $80.

BloodiedAnd to those recommending the moras all are absolutely correct. For the money they are near impossible to beat, and there are many options with ever so Slight differences to choose from. Just for a example I use a pro c for all of my camp cooking when in the woods.
