What was your first camera and did you liked it?

My first camera was a Nikon d3100 and I love it! I am starting to get new equipment soon.

It was around 1977, I was 10 years old, and the camera was an old Kodak Bulls-Eye that was about 15 years old then. I showed a pic of one like it in another thread about first cameras. It was heavy, bulky, used 1-shot flash-bulbs indoors that were hard to handle. I didn't care much for it and wanted a 110 roll film instamatic instead. But the medium-format roll film took clear snapshots and I learned the basics and showed my parents I could handle a camera with somebody else's old cast-off. I got that 110 instamatic about 3 years later for christmas.
I never managed to buy a SLR until I found a Minolta xd-11 kit at a sheriff's auction about 1996 or 97. I had taken photography class in high school more than 10 years earlier, but never picked up a SLR after that. The Minolta was 20 years old then, but it was a quality camera from it's time with basic auto-exposure. I relearned the techniques of using a SLR. But the first camera I really liked a lot was my Nikon D80 that I bought myself when I turned 40 in 2007. I moved in to digital photography initially about 2002 with a Nikon Coolpix 995 as a higher-end consumer camera, but it was slow to use. I kept using it until I felt a DSLR was in my reach.
