I only have one auto, a Kershaw 7000 Breakout. I live where I can own/buy/carry/have shipped to me anything that's legal to own/buy/carry/ship, but I still hardly ever carry or use the Breakout. My main folding EDC is a Bradley Alias I. Better steel, really just as fast to deploy from pocket to open, at least for me, because hitting the button just right is a much less natural movement for me than finding the thumb-stud and flicking the wrist on the way out. I'm not a knife fighter anyway though, and couldn't really care less about deployment speed, just concerned with ease of use, solid lock-up, better than average steel etc. and all things considered, I don't really need an auto if any other criteria has to be sacrificed. In this case, I don't believe a button-lock can ever have the potential to be as strong a locking mechanism as a frame lock, so even though I'm happy to have it and don't plan on selling it, the Breakout sits unused for the most part.
For those who have said there's some "interstate commerce" restrictions on shipping across state lines, I do not believe that is true. I bought my Breakout from an internet retailer based in Utah (I'm in Alabama) and the only requirement for shipping to me was that I know my own state laws before placing the order. I'm sure they keep a list of states where auto-openers are illegal and will refuse orders to such states, but I don't believe there is any federal prohibition on interstate shipping of auto-opening knives. If y'all who said you think there are federal "interstate commerce" restrictions (presumably based on the Commerce Clause of our Constitution's Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3) could cite the law(s) you think exist from the federal level, that would be a big help in having a knowledgeable discussion about the possibility of Massdrop listing auto knives for sale. I acknowledge that I could be wrong and maybe new laws have been passed restricting interstate shipping of auto knives, but my personal experience of ordering one maybe three or four years ago and it not being any real hassle strongly suggests that it wasn't illegal then, so I'd need to see a citation to such a law before I take such warnings at face value, and I suggest that everybody interested in staying legal take those warnings with a grain of salt as well. While I'm not interested in buying any more auto-openers whether on Massdrop or elsewhere, I am interested in getting correct information while I'm considering the possibility of them being listed here.

BlueTomI have microtech OTF, a knock off OTF, a few different Kershaws, and a custom. I absolutely love them. Especially the OTFs. I don't have nails and it's easier to open them. Massdrop count in if you start listing them.

BlueTom"For those who have said there's some "interstate commerce" restrictions on shipping across state lines," It is known as the Federal Switchblade Act passed in 1958. http://www.akti.org/federal-switchblade-act/ The way I understand it, the Fed used its power to regulate interstate commerce and made it illegal to transport auto opening knives across state lines for the purposes of commerce. It is also illegal to mail them by the United States Postal Service. I am NOT a lawyer.

LuckyCHaving said that, I'd still like to have a Microtech Ultratech, but it is pretty far down the list. There are other things that I would buy first.

BlueTomI can't speak directly to the laws restricting interstate shipping but the policy for Kershaw warranty repairs is you can ship the knife to them directly but they will return ship to a certified Kershaw dealer, much like shipped firearms typically go to a FFL holder and not direct to the purchaser.
