Most of the "B&W" I've done recently has been selective color (hence the finger quotes). But I used to do some large format B&W film photography, and I still do some digital infrared and B&W. Here's some:
search
"Down Hole" - Digital B&W using a camera suspended from a kite line over the Gas Works Park in Seattle, Washington
search
"Maunakea Observatories" - Digital IR, though it would've been better done as a simple B&W image. (No big benefit to IR at this location.)
search
"Rainbow Falls" - Another digital IR, this time at Rainbow Falls in Hilo, Hawaii. It was done as something of a joke. (B&W. Rainbow. Har!)
search
"Cliff Palace" - 4x5 Kodak TMX at Mesa Verde, Colorado. I lugged that damn camera all over the Southwest, up cliffs, into valleys, and didn't really like anything I'd done with it. We had an hour wait before our group went down the trail to Cliff Palace, so I set up and waited for the gap between one group leaving and another coming into the frame. I had about a five second window to trip the shutter while someone held an umbrella to keep the wind from shaking the camera.
