How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?
I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".

It is worth mentioning that with keyclack it's basically just one person doing all the work, so the frequent delays ard more understandable in my opinion. One day I'll get my WK-001 lol.
As far as others, while not really a different site, @ProjectKey is probably my favorite artisan maker and links their group buys in the talk section on here. I've bought two caps from them and they're absolutely stunning, with quality that's better than other artisans I've purchased from well known makers.
There's been people with way worse stories than me, but the experience that really soured me personally to Massdrop was the first ever Yanbo’s closet drop. I was so excited to finally get my chance at getting a whitefox at the time, I made sure I got in a soon as the drop opened and picked my whitefox from the list and placed the order.
A few weeks later I saw on Reddit people were getting shipping confirmation from massdrop for the drop and I got incredibly excited. Then I saw a bunch of people who ordered GMK carbon posting the emails they got saying massdrop miscounted their stock and were getting refunds. I saw that some people were getting offers to switch to different keysets and thought, at least there's that.
Eventually I got the same sort of email, saying there was a miscount for the white fox kits as well, and that there would be big delays for those as well if they even had them at all. I responded to the email saying I definitely don't mind the wait, I would rather get a (pretty much any) board at least then a refund. That email was responded to with a very clearly automated response that refunded the money to my account. I was blown away because that was exactly the opposite thing I asked for in the email. I responded again clarifying and another automated response gave me $20 in credit for Massdrop.
It might seem whiney, but looking back on it, I think I was most frustrated by the auto responses and lack of actual human interaction that could potentially change my attitude entirely. I emailed them a few times again, never once got a real response. I have never seen a real apology or explanation from massdrop about any mistakes they've made in the past. When it happens to you it just kinda makes you feel like a chump.
So yeah, I get that logistics mistakes can happen, but the way they treat their mistakes definitely left me a bit salty. That, combined with the countless other stories I've seen about massdrop fuck-ups and their attempts and making up for it has just made me and many others not want to give Massdrop my business anymore. I'd rather give it to a reputable vendor who cares about the people giving them money :)
I was kind of salty about the capatoa (or whatever it was called) drop I did try to join a while back. It sold out of everything I had my eye on in the time it took for the page to load, me to add the two kits to my cart, then confirm my order (maybe 20 seconds total after the drop went live). Between those kinds of extremely limited quantities and their miscounts of stock it seems like the better idea for that sort of thing would have been to use a raffle system like how most artisan buys work.
That's just my two cents though.
And I agree, zfrontier is really doing a great job lately!
