I have a Mont Blanc Dragon fountain  ( Gold on resin, not one of the all precious metal versions or matching number sets.)  that I literally stumbled onto in 2000 if I recall. and a Pelikan special edition fountain from back in the 90's. For me these two are my grails. ONLY  because I am left handed. Were I right handed I would want or be saving for that more grail worthy pen.
A QUESTION REGARDING THE PENS?     I am still new to the drop, only for about 6 months now. And I am a complete newbie in the chat and polls.    Are ROLLERBALLS ever offered, even if only few and far between? A I sated, I am LEFT handed. I do write with the same cant as a right handed person but it is still messy when using a fountain. I is kind of sad to admit that I mostly only use my fountain pens for signing my name. For the longest time, and even now occasionally, I still carry both. Rollerballs don't smear quite as much    Yes, I understand that the type of ink and the median it is delivered to what one is writing on i.e. style of nib etc.)  makes a big difference and being  a chemist who initially went to college to make toilet paper, I well know how different paper stock as well as papyrus various animal skins,  etc reacts to ink.  Having tried multiple combinations over the years in which I have definitely invested  more than the cost of a very nice pen in various styled  nibs alone, the rollerball is sadly still my best option.    Hopefully this doesn't seem like I "jacked" the thread. AND- I am OPEN to ANY suggestions. thanks- John.
JohnGOhioYes there are frequent Roller drops. Though most are machined pens. In addition to those, fountain pen drops often include a rollerball option.

JohnGOhioI've started using rollerballs at work because tired of the frequent comments about my fountain pen. I didn't use them because the refills are a ripoff but thanks to youtube I found a way to refill them. With needle pliers you can pull off the plastic bit at the end and pull out the capillary tube from inside. Pull some FP ink into an eyedropper and stand the capillary tube in the ink bottle. Drain the eyedropper through the c. Tube, wipe everything with a tissue and put it all back together. Very cost-effective and eco-friendly. Rollerballs, my fave is a waterman. Fountain pen, I like an oblique nib from Sailor, Pilot, or Platinum.
