The scandinavian layout needs more love

more_vert
I wish there were more options for someone like me, a guy from sweden that wants to customize his keyboard. There is barely any keycap sets made for the scandinavian layout and there is barely no keyboard aside from those made by big manufacturers.
Im not here to complain though, I am here in search for advise on where to look and places where i might find the things I am looking for.

I couldn't agree more with you, living in Sweden and trying to find something custom is close to impossible it feels like. I would love to get the CTRL with iso nordic layout. I spend many hours per week looking.

Another Swede checking in here too. I got into mechanical keyboards early 2017 and lurked for a few months before starting to source materials for a few builds. As far as I can see, lately most keysets that have dropped on MD have offered additional international/NORDE/NORDEUK kits that offer an ISO-SE layout (DSA Miami Dolch, GMK Nautilus, SA Carbon, SA Oblivion etc.).
If nothing else, find a workaround that works for you. Remap keys. Do something with a split spacebar. Try alternative layouts.
I do second the sentiment that there should be options for Nordic users available.

seville57Getting something more unique like the CTRL keyboard would be really nice. Ducky keyboards are everywhere here in Sweden because they and Varmilo are the best prebuilt keyboards in the country. What I really want are things that embrace newcomers to the custom scene, more hotswap boards, more keycap sets and etc. Actual customs usually support ISO layouts like Nordic, but they're quite expensive.
