How about a deep pocket clip, if you are going to all of this trouble to fix a bad design on the old clip then why not give us the option of a new deep pocket clip. Personally if I have a choice between a regular clip and a deep pocket clip I will choose the deep pocket clip every time, they also seem to be a stronger clip as far as not bending to the point or past the point of no return, so to speak. Even if you don't replace the old one with a deep pocket clip it would be nice if we could purchase the deep pocket clip as an upgrade, just my two cents. I have purchased both knives that were sold on here, the Falcon and the Crux and absolutely love both of them. I did add little color to my Falcon and like the way it turned out, let me know what you guys think.

chris_gjI took it apart and used a Dremel to sand it smooth, then I took a propane torch and heated it until it turned the color I was looking for.
waders69No kidding? I haven't heard of that. Looks amazing.

twelvehourpowernapIt just your basic heat anodization of the titanium, check out this link.
waders69That is so cool.
Does it stay that color as long as if you have one of those voltage set ups?

twelvehourpowernapYeah it seems to, I'm new at this and my Falcon is actually the first knife that I attempted to anodize with the heat method but I like how it turned out, it's something different and kind of cool to add your own personal touch to your EDC.
waders69Man you knocked it out of the park. I'm gonna go pick up a propane torch myself and a titanium spork from REI and see if I can get the hang of it.
Do you by chance know of any online vendors selling cheep titanium beads? My gf is really getting into making paracord lanyards and some anodized beads would really lool good.
Also makes me wonder if you can heat ano aluminum.
twelvehourpowernapDepends what you consider cheap, but Maverick Workshop does make really nice beads for $35-$60 https://maverickworkshop.com/t/lanyard_beads

twelvehourpowernapOne thing to remember is that if you add to much heat it will turn grey, if that happens don't worry you just have to sand it back down and start over. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

twelvehourpowernapAs fine as you can get, also wet sanding works well. It may take a few times before you get the hang of how fast the color changes on you. I usually back the heat off when I see it start to turn purple. I also spray it with Windex to cool it down and stay in the purple or blue range, try that it will help. Nice work, give it another try and post the pics again.

waders69I have never heard anyone say "I dont prefer deep pocket clips" never. 6 years ago I bought a couple Sog knives because of the deep pocket clip alone. 6 years later a few companies have woken up to this. I'd buy Spyderco if they had a deep pocket clip. If I get a knife without it just add 30 bucks to the price for an aftermarket clip, not ideal. DEEP POCKET CLIPS FOR ALL!!!

WayoftreadI must be in a very small minority. I avoid knives with deep carry clips. It's not a deal breaker all the time, but if I'm not truly loving the knife will stop my purchase.
