1440p+, ultrawide, gsync obviously, high color accuracy for pros who game (doesn't need to be ips since VA is pretty good now), curved, 34 inches or up. Since I normally work with dual monitors even bigger might be nice for docking multiple ide windows or test VMs etc.

Ariel.AMultiple reasons. First being that speakers in monitors always suck. Anyone who cares about sound and is going to spend 500-800 on a monitor can afford reasonable speakers or headphones. Also surround speakers or headphones are better for gaming anyways and if you want a gsync monitor you're clearly a gamer. Second it adds unnecessary bulk that I don't want. I want a sleek clean design. Third it adds additional cost and complexity to manufacturing for little benefit and I want the manufacturer to focus on building a good monitor. Maybe you prefer them but imo they're pretty worthless in this scenario.
Thom2002$20 Logitech speakers sound better than monitor speakers, which are space constrained and usually facing away from you. Without speakers, the monitor is also lighter and easier to mount onto an arm.
