How do you store / display knives and EDC items?

more_vert
Anyone else have this "problem" where they wake up to grab all their things for the day and think...

I've been using a WOLF watch box to store some of the knives that I carry most alongside my EDC items.

I don't own 10 watches, but I do own more than 10 knives. Dump trays are okay, but I like having individual spots for knives and watches. I've seen watch boxes and knife cases, but I've never seen one that combines both - have you? Hoping to see some photos of how other folks are keeping their various EDC essentials organized.

With an avg of 250+ knives, I've gone to using the larger tool boxes to hold most of my knives. I also use a large Spyderco Spyderpac on my door for my edc that I rotate through the most.

I made a tray out of sheet copper and old wood that works for me. I keep the things I am currently carry in rotation on it and everything else goes into pelican style cases for storage. hope that helps someone.

I have that same alpine meadows / squaw valley season print that I saved, in my knife box, and I have a couple of those knives! lol, you must work at Drop, huh??! I tried this but I need too many knives to look at and to really make my choice - or else I’d be digging them all out and reallllly taking forever to choose! Must be able to see them and I’m installing new shelves as we speak so I can keep more knives out. Drop is a main discussion piece amongst my forums and our knife circles. I’ve been knocking the naysayers and contending who has the most value, with some of the most relevant and historic designers of today, and best materials and manufacturers against Drop. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that we are getting the undisputed best value and I really admire the technique used to tailor to our demands for which knife and when. I had a shelf just for Drop... but I’m “going to need a bigger boat.”

I believe this is common knowledge by now, but hitch + timber has a very great selection of EDC slips that are extremely high quality that fit anything from a bench made to a Swiss along with a bunch of other goodies. As for storing them... I don't think there will ever be a permanent solution .

Autoloaderdigging the bladeHQ wall storage bag and the collection! Funny that the Emerson is in the box— I keep one strapped to my daybag in a gerber sheath Molle attachment for added security on trails with my son, and I carry a “church knife “ that won’t scare grandma, and a regular use knife that I want to carry that day. My collection of fidget spinners, flashlights, and extra knives is getting to be a little hefty too. I started storing them on my hanging shelves and wherever I can. Love the deep carry clip (Lynch clip?) on the pm 2/1 and I want to see the knives in this photo and the post that started this thread ! I see vox in a photo , and some really really gorgeous blades in these photos. I like the pelican case as a bucket and there are knives just laying on each other. Nice collections there.

My pockets... clearly I don't have enough knives!
ive got an old watch box that's got room left in it just in case. Right now it's displaying some watches from my childhood that don't run anymore.

Fluffy.BenisAs for knives, I only have a mini griptilian. guess I figured I should buy one knife and be done with it. There's a cheap gerber folder somewhere around the house but none of us EDC that.

This is my solution, i searched for ages for the one of these old tool boxes an finally got lucky! Heavy used look is fine with me, just gave it new felt on the insides. Good thing is, with the open front lid which lies down when opened i also have a little place for my true daily carry to snag it in the morning. And one drawer still free to fill... 😁

I dont display. My EDC tools are scuffed, scratched and worn. No need to display. All of my fixed blades are in a bin out of the way, most of my folders are clipped to a bin for easy access.

NamaahI can't tell you how much I would like to be like that. I had nothing as a child and I must keep everything nicer than the day I bought it....to a point I don't get to fully enjoy whatever it is. I actually buy knock-offs of BIG name knives so I can TRY to do this. Being the full quality isn't apples to apples...there is a big piece of the puzzle missing. i think you have the right idea Namaah!

I placed floating shelves in my closet so when I get dressed in the morning, I have all my most used watches, knives, etc. there for the choosing.
