How I really feel about MÜLIBEX

A personal review of this ultralight gear company
Written by Kevin Ferreira

Now I know it may seem biased because I’m currently working with MÜLIBEX to expand their brand but I just wanted to share my own insight from my time working with Steve, the creator of the MUHL and CAPRA chairs.
A lot of the clients I’ve worked for in the past are oriented on sales and on ways they can improve their companies bottom line. They want to grow their companies and I help them think of all different ways to do that, usually with social marketing. With Steve it's been clear from the first week that he’s not just chasing easy money or trying to satisfy his personal ego. Steve is really just making people’s lives better by building better ultralight products. He's all about improving the treks he goes on and is an avid outdoorsman. As I’ve tried out his prototypes in person, the quality I’ve seen is quite extraordinary and worthy of any serious backpacker. Seriously, these chairs are comfortable and very stable. Have a look at the MÜLIBEX® products yourself: https://mulibex.com or checkout his ongoing Kickstarter: http://kck.st/2ErtOmd to help him bring his project to life.
These are the two ultralight chairs weighing in at 1.2lbs (for the one that uses trekking poles) and 2.1lbs (for the one with the full frame):

what is the advantage of this chair? I have the Helinox chair zero, which weights LESS than 1.2 lb, and requires no external components. More importantly, comparing it's legs to my treking poles, the helinox Aluminum / DAC legs are _definitely_ stronger than my poles.
I also have an REI brand lightweight chair of the same style as the Helinox. It is less than 2 lb, and cost something like $60. It is even stronger than the Helinox chair zero.
It seems like unless this chair is _extremely_ cheap, the other options have it beat on weight AND strength/durability.

Oh, and if you have any questions feel free to ask! I'd love to help answer them.
