I have found the Sennheiser PC37X headset to be pretty good and it comes with a mic.
I haven't used them much (actually got them as a gift to someone else), but I have had a chance to try them and found them to be very comfortable as well as having much nicer sound quality than some headsets that I have spent significantly more money on.
Massdrop has them going right now ($120): https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-pc37x-gaming-headset

BetaWarAh, my sister actually owns a pair of them and yes, they are very comfortable and all but the ear cups dont fit over my ears, forcing my ears down and hurting them. But still, for 120 bucks, still very nice. Side note, the mic quality i haven't found to be good enough for my liking

SpEsHeLeD167Mic quality can vary a bit depending on what you're plugging them into. A lot of microphones including stuff like the modmic can sound worse if the motherboard or wherever you're plugging them in isn't providing enough phantom power. Something a couple dollars spent on one of those headphone/mic USB converter sticks just for the microphone can help if power is being the issue.(I'd recommend just the microphone plugged in)

SpEsHeLeD167Oh, I was talking about for your sister if you wanted to see if that improved the mic quality. If you have a decent soundcard, it probably will be fine for yourself. Mic-input just often is one of the more neglected things on many motherboards when it comes to the audio.

SpEsHeLeD167Ahh, so probably not an issue. Alright. It was just something I thought I'd share since it's a common fix for mics not sounding great plugged directly into the computer.
