I was in the market for a EDC light for my dad and
search
I thought this graph was pretty helpful. Zebralights are some of the best I've found for EDC. Oh and don't let the unprotected battery cell dissuade you, they have protection built into the housing.

coulter383I have no light fetish like many. I use them as tools.(all Fenix) I have a new TK75 with 8 military nano 18650s /6500mah in 2 bug out bags I have for each a 1XAAA and 1x AA light with 8ish batts for each I "EDC" this thing http://ibandsling.com besides my other stuff I have a Fenix 1XAA and 1XAAA with 4-5 spare bats for each AAA is called E01 I use for LONG runtime and frankly ,in actual dark it is quite bright. AA is E12, BIG fan of the beam pattern. TK 75 is the new one with a full time custom diffuser that makes a WALL OF LIGHT ! Like a football field. I have no need to see 2/3 a mile...that said..I can remove diffuser if needed
I have 43 cars ( left in collection) each key chain has a Nitecore tube USB /photon type light
For LONG range, 100+k miles (or more) I have this :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igINHhgHpyA and others
I may do a youtube of my Iband and my bug out bags did this recently https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai-XXvIOjXU&t=2s
