There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. I'd tried Nitecore Tube before that, but got a couple of defectives- one that discharged really fast and wouldn't charge. After the Bullet 02 I tried one of my replacements, and found it perfectly usable.
So I switched to a Nitecore Tini, and though I had to return the first one as it wouldn't charge, I persisted, and it's now the one on my keychain. Well one of the ones. I also have a Streamlight 73200 KeyMate, which I've found is a lot better for when you're in the dark and need to work. Instead of holding a light and trying to position it, this one creates area illumination.
That's my kit for now, but I'm sure it will change, but always be smaller lights that fit on my keychain.
