Tip or beginners. You can master more than you think. When looking a Quilt sample. Take the time to see the blocks. Many quilts only have two different blocks. By looking at the block it is easier to say I can do this. Missour Star Block Books are the best for beginners create quilts that look like years of experience. 💕💕💕💕

Debm9I wholeheartedly agree! Still somewhat of a newbie. I LOVE looking at patterns and finding the blocks. And it does make me feel that perhaps I can do that intricate overall pattern too.

Debm9I don’t think they are st all. Very good fun quilts but not for beginners I don’t think You need a basic understanding of how to cut correctly, I know seems simple but so many get this one wrong. You need to understand some fabric lessons, to wash or not, grain of of fabrics, selvage, quality of fabrics n colors. Also piecing with a correct 1/4“ seam allowance. Setting your blocks together n different ways to do it correctly. Binding n all the ways n how to do a mitered corner correctly. Bias bindings, how to make n where to use them. Backings where n how to seam them. When you have done these correctly then ready to do stuff from mq. You then can decide if some of her methods are for you.
