All I'm saying is that watches are not like wool caps. It's fine for fashion experts to tell us that it's not appropriate to wear jeans to a wedding. But please don't tell us to all wear the same size tuxedo!

GratisSharkYour analogy is false. The dress watch is the tux. Your Alpina is the jeans. Dress watches come in many different styles and sizes, just like tuxedos.

GratisSharkI read your comment to equate "don't tell us all to wear the same size tux" with "don't tell us all to wear dress watches with dress clothes" which doesn't square up. There are certainly watches that don't dress up well, like the Alpina. Just like jeans at a wedding, it doesn't really work.

GratisSharkOnly the first one is dress watch. This Rado is actually a vintage sports watch. Back in 1960's that was a typical design of a sports and everyday watch. But I guess that today, with a nice leather strap it may pass as a dress watch.
