Any bags you all recommend specifically for holding lightstands or lighting gear? I plan to carry at least 2 light stands (28 inches or so folded) with 2 umbrellas about that high and a few speedlights and other adapter/lighting modifiers. However I would like it to have a bit of growing room as well if I can fit say a 3rd or 4th lighting stand and matching modifier/speed light.

lastzeroAppropriately-sized duffel bag works. But then the speedlights would be banging around.
Or you can get something like this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/17471-REG/f_64_LSB_LSB_Light_Stand_Bag.html

lastzeroHonestly as long as you aren't hauling around the top end gear I would recommend a large duffel on Amazon. I bought one that was about 4 feet long, 2 feet tall and wide. It can fit 4 light stands, 3 softboxes, a backdrop holder, 2 20 x 10 backdrops and all my speedlights. Granted thin thing is very heavy with all the gear, so maybe getting 2 separate duffles might be a better idea in the long run just for carrying.

lastzeroI use an REI rolling duffle, with wheels and cinch straps, works amazingly and has a ridgid back which gives extra protection.

b9d9ffdad3ac59e7f6fI've found my solution. I'll just stuff my lights and fragile but heavy gear in camera inserts at the bottom. I'll use like a few towels and then stuff the top with bubble wrapped lightstands and also light modifiers. Other small light things will be in foam bags like adapters or modifiers.
Wish there was a way to attach inserts together or something so they don't move but it seems like a good setup for my usage.

Matthias_LambertI didn't know REI has rolling duffles but I'll definitely look into it. Thanks.

RailangWheels might be another option. However, given how small duffles can be, it might not hurt to have an extra just in case I don't need to bring all my equipment and leave the rest in a hotel.
