If I was solely focused on photography I would go with the D850, all day, no questions asked. If I wanted a flexible video/photo set up I might go Sony A73, which releases next month. However, "The D850 can record 4K up to 30fps with a higher bitrate of 144Mbps using the entire sensor..." whereas most other cameras 'window' or crop the sensor when recording video which diminishes the "full frame look". Finally, the Canon 5D is a renowned powerhouse, but the current Mark IV falls short of the competition when it comes to being a "total package". In the end they're all great cameras in their own right. DSLRs with pentaprism viewfinders are a must for me, however the flexibility of the mirrorless system cannot be ignored.
