I started using Nikon because the mount is the same as 70 yrs back, what it means : if you want to have many lenses of high quality from the got to go that's a nice option because it's very easy to find used ones, and in good shape for low prices.

VizdrumAbsolutely correct. Nikkor has some incredibly high quality lenses from the past that are much cheaper than some of the newer lenses. It' s just a fun option to have available.
Also, +1 on the Nikon full-frame options. I shoot with a D750 and it's absolutely incredible for the price. Used ones are all over the market right now, very good option!

Vizdrum Same here. When I moved from film to digital (just a couple of years ago) the choice was easy as I already had a number of Nikon/Nikkor lenses. The AF-D lenses autofocus on Nikon cameras with an in-body motor, so pretty much all but the D3000 and D5000 series. On the DX cameras that do have the motor, you'll get a narrower angle of view than you're used to with film or FF. I've stuck with the 24MP FX Nikons because I don't print large enough to need 36
