There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). MY TOP LIST
Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization - I've only played this once with @jasper and @jxliu. Really enjoyed the game and want to play again soon after the first session.
Age of Empires III: Age of Discovery - Played 5 or 6 times. Really enjoy how the bidding process mixes up each round of the game.
Dominion - I've only played base game so far, but really enjoyed it. Settlers of Catan: Seafarers
Carcassonne. Fun game with an easy learning curve. I like to break this out for a lighter game to break new gamers into. Always fun, but expansions are a must.
Pandemic - Only played once, but I enjoyed the co-op aspect. We failed by 1 turn. :(
Settlers - Seafarers - I enjoy this expansion a lot, but I really want to try some different expansions. I always seem to play with someone who hasn't played settlers before and this is one of the easiest break-in game with a few more rules I've found. . . . . NEXT TO PLAY:
Dead of Winter.
A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (Second Edition). Some friends have started playing the online version of this game as a game they kind of always have going. They get an email when it's their turn and then make their move.
Pandemic Legacy . . . . RECENTLY PLAYED AND RECOMMEND:
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Mr. Jack
Splendor
Web of Spies
I'm an avid player, and this has become one of my favorites.
