A Gentleman and his Watch

more_vert
If you want to be taken seriously in the world of horology, stick to watches that fit your wrist. Enjoying watch collecting for what it is and learn to ask about the craftsmanship of a watch, why someone likes it, and what drew them to it? Regardless of price tag, everyone that has a watch they’re proud of can rally around those questions.
My top three things to wearing a watch
1. The correct watch for your activity: work, evening out or at the beach
2. Do not go into dept. for a watch. I started off small and have work deals to for other great watches.
3. DO Not be a Snob about others watch's. We should be able to appreciate all watches and be able to engage with other owners even if it’s something you would never buy. What binds our hobby together is our love of the craftsmanship, design, and use of watches.
Just my thoughts for the day.

Totally agreed! People not only get into this hobby for different reasons, but not everyone is fortunate enough to afford the means to acquire luxury watches. Cost aside, taste is also subjective and unbelievably persona. If it makes them happy, who are we to tell them otherwise?
