VESA Compatible Wall-Mounted Ergo-Arm
Ever since I discovered here on MassDrop the space-saving, clutter-reducing, ergonomic arm's offered to help us create the best desk setup for gaming and production alike; I was sold. I could not be more satisfied with my investment of purchasing 3 Ergotech Freedom Arm's here after rave reviews from the community, which I can now without a doubt say were 100% correct. The issue I'm running into now is my desire to upgrade to a 4-monitor setup with the release of, and my impending purchase of, the GTX1080 Pascal Graphics Card. I would like to install a Ultra-Wide HD monitor centered above the 3 27-Inch monitors I currently have with the ability to articulte them in just about any capacity. Looking for ergonomical wall-mounts for monitors will bring you to the conclusion that not only are they very limited in their articulation despite being labled "full-motion" but they are also easily twice the price than say an Ergotech Freedom Arm. Add on top of that the fact that the majority of full-motion television wall-mounts are not even 100x100 VESA compatible. I was actually going to attempt placing monitors flat on the desk (using the ergotech desk-mounted arms) to try and see if I can use a 4th arm at its max height to fit above. Thankfully the MD for the Ergotech Freedom Arms recently finished and hasn't begun so I was forced to go to their direct site and see if they had any deals going on. This lead me to the Wall-Mounted Ergotech Freedom Arm, and I gotta say, I was instantly relieved that I wouldn't have to place my monitors flat on the desk to attempt and possibly waste another $100 on my ridiculous idea. After that momentary relief I was able to come to a realisation that there was no need to jump the gun on all of this, when I'm sure there are plenty of other on MD that would be happy to aquire this product like myself *cough* *cough* for cheaper *cough* *cough*. I would imagine we could get a hefty drop going for this item if only our users knew it was even in existence. *Edit* I have just noticed after completing this post that there is currently no "talk" section for Tech yet so I have decided to post this in the MechKeys community due to relavence (if this is an issue feel free to remove my post). ALT V2 not detected with Drop Keyboard Configurator
Hi, This is my first non-mac keyboard. I was under the impression that this would work out of box with with mac desktop however I am having issues getting the ALT V2 detected with the keyboard configurator software. The keyboard is plugged in and powered on. Apologies if this is very basic or if I have used incorrect language describing my issue, I don't have experience with this. Thank you

Upgrading Keyboard

My Kingdom for Smooth ABS SA Keycaps
Every time I build a new keyboard, I go hunting for keycaps. And every time I go hunting, it eventually devolves into a desperate search for SA (or equivalent) profile keycaps with a smooth finish. SA is the ultimate profile, IMHO, and they're relatively hard to come by. Signature Plastics, which is where a lot of SA sets come from like the T0mb3ry SA Carbon set (they might actually hold the trademark on the SA profile if I'm not mistaken), is reportedly going through some management/ownership struggles (last I heard, they're looking for new ownership), and along with apparently the rest of the industry, they seem to be neglecting this superior keycap profile in their own stocks. If you order direct from them, they have a couple themed sets in stock (maybe), but generally you can have any color you want, as long as it's black or white. DCX vs DCD vs DCL - Drop’s Keycap Profiles Explained
We’ve covered the basics of keycap profiles before—spherical/cylindrical, sculpted/uniform, etc. One thing that has come up more and more over the years as we’ve expanded our portfolio of offerings here at Drop is the distinction between some of our similar profiles. Specifically, what is the actual difference between DCX, DCD, and DCL? Cylindrical Profiles To recap the previous article on the topic, one of the most basic ways to separate various keycap profiles is by shape (cylindrical, spherical, or flat). DCX, DCD, and DCL are all cylindrical profiles. The most famous cylindrical profile is Cherry profile, as defined by the original manufacturer of the keycaps—Cherry.
