Monterey Car Week 2016 - Cars on streets (Part 2/5)
As a petrolhead, Monterey Car Week is a week worth of car related events like no other. Including the one that just wrapped up a week ago, I've been attending Monterey Car Week annually for four years so far. Figured I'd share some of my pictures from the week along with some thoughts.
Cars on streets
Seeing interesting cars of great historical significance in car shows during the week is pretty much a given. But one thing that makes Monterey Car Week particularly special is a number of rare unicorns you stumble upon just walking along streets of surrounding Monterey and Carmel area. Here are a couple especially noteworthy ones I saw over the week.
Porsche 550 A Le Mans
Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS, 991 GT3, and a Toyota FJ
EMG's Porsche 991 GT3 RS in Paint-To-Sample Gelbgrün
Aston Martin DB4 GT
Lotus Exige S
BMW M1 casually parked outside of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the neighbourhood
Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring also parked outside of a local family restaurant
Aston Martin One-77
DDE's incredibly loud fire spitting Liberty Walk widebody Ferrari 458 parked on the street before the accident
9 privately owned Bugatti Veyrons in all sorts of variants. Bonkers.
