Keyboard & Drink

Cardboard case until I get around to designing an aluminum case, custom-cut acrylic plate, custom-painted DSA keycaps with WASD Cherry Cat Novelty Keycaps for cursors, and not pictured are the Anodized CNC Aluminum Cone Feet, Cherry MX Rubber O-Rings.

Looking forward to trying this layout with the MiTO Canvas XDA Keycap Set.

The drink is freshly-ground french-pressed coffee.

I love your hand-wired keyboard hot-glued into its temporary cardboard case!
What processor are you using? I will be using a Teensy++, but my holdup is the case. I have everything else on hand now that my XDA Canvas order arrived. (Actually, I have too many sets of switches to choose from, so now I am considering hand-wired hot-swappable. Or maybe I should do a hand-made board...) I will be receiving an SA Carbon set some time next year, so now my goal is to be finished a couple months before that arrives.
Is it just the cut edges of the acrylic plates that I took to be hot glue? Anyway, I like it. My plan is currently water-jetted layers with a stainless steel plate until I am sure what layout I like.

dvorcolAh, that could be it. Could also be how the wires are joined since I tend to use more solder than necessary.

Here's an update, now that the XDA Canvas set arrived:

The spacebar is still the blue DSA from above since I'd have to bend a new stabilizer wire and move the switch to the right to make it fit. I really like the feel of these keys better than the DSA in case anybody was wondering.
