Wrist Check

more_vert
Today I am wearing the Seiko Brightz SAGN015 from early 2000, limited to 200 pieces. This is my favorite Seiko of all time and I was lucky enough to purchase it from the original owner.
The watch has a very beautiful ink-blue enamel dial, which looks almost black most of the time. It has day (retrograde at 3), date (sub dial at 6) and GMT function (sub dial at 9). The 4S27 movement beats at a unusual 28800 bph (at the time) with 28 jewels and about 50 hrs of power reserve. The movement was discontinued in 2006. It is a shame that Seiko discontinued the entire 4S line of movement by 2013.

Love it love it love it! Question, the B on the dial and the seconds hand, stands for the Brightz line? The extra crown, is that to adjust the GMT hand?

GES11TCorrect on both counts. B stands for Brightz for the Bightz line and the crown at 2 o'clock adjust the GMT.
