Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The M50x will be closed and will leak less audio in and out but may overheat your ears after a while if you wear them for long periods of time.
The HD598s are open so others will hear you if you crank them loud or are in close proximity, and will leak sound in, but supposedly they will have better separation and soundstage than a closed set of headphones. A basic DAC/amp like a schiit Fulla or a Fiio (just about any that are both DAC and amp) will get you started right and you can go up from there as funds allow. Do check out head-fi for reviews, suggestions, etc on headphones, amps, dacs, and any other audio questions you have.
