Wrist Check

New pickup: a vintage Universal Geneve Polerouter Date. This is my first vintage buy so I was a bit apprehensive, but I took it to a watchmaker and the case and movement match up with the seller's claims.

The Polerouter is a watch that grabbed my attention recently, I was not aware that it was one of Gerald Genta's early designs until around a year ago. The dial is also extremely unique with the two-tone and crosshairs, and the lugs are just beautiful.

The movement places the date of manufacture between 1960 and 1962, and it has the original crown and crystal. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

Ooooohhh that's a beauty. What's the diameter? Looks like a really good fit for your wrist. Probably too small for mine, which is why I covet but likely will never buy a vintage luxury watch.
I actually have a vintage watch, my mid-70s Waltham that I got when I was in high school and never wear anymore. At 33.6mm diameter and 40mm lug to lug, it's just too tiny on my wrist.

PetrosDThat Waltham is pretty slick! I think you could rock it, maybe as a beach watch or something haha.
